Help

Below are some tips on how you can use the search and filter functions to locate entries in the CCTS Investigation Findings Library.

General notes

  • When you first open the Library page, all available reports will be listed
  • If no filters for a field have been specified, the system will include all available options by default
  • If a filter is added, you will need to click the Show Results button to display the filtered set of results
  • Your search and filter settings will be retained throughout your session
  • To clear all your search and filter settings at once, click the Reset link
  • If you leave the website or close your browser tab, your search and filter settings will be reset automatically upon return

Search functionality

  • Enter one or more keywords to search within the available reports
  • The system will show all entries that contain at least one of the specified keywords
  • Keywords are not case-sensitive
  • Keywords searches can also be combined with filters to narrow search results

Filter criteria

  • Services
    • Select one or more service categories to show results
  • Languages
    • Select one or more languages to show results
    • Note that reports are only published in their original language, either English or French
  • Obligations Met
    • Select whether to show reports where the provider has met or has not met their obligations
  • Years
    • In the first dropdown, select the starting year from where to show reports
    • In the second dropdown, select the ending year to show reports
  • Filter by Issue and Filter by Code
    • Clicking either of these buttons will open a new menu in a popup window
    • Filter items are organized in a hierarchical order
    • Click the + icon to show the next level of filter items
    • To select an item from which to filter, check the box beside the name
    • Selecting a top-level category will automatically select all the secondary items
    • Please note that some filter items may not apply to the particular service(s) that you are searching
    • To exit the popup window, click the Close link, press the ESC key, or click outside of the window area
    • If any filter items have been selected, the filter button will be updated with a count of the total number of active filters in parentheses

Search results table

  • After clicking the Show Results button, the table below the search and filter interface will be updated with the new search results
  • The search result table displays five columns:
    • The title of the report
    • The line(s) of business (Home Phone, Internet, Television, Wireless)
    • The language that the report was published in (English or French)
    • The date that the report was published
    • The report ID for referencing the report
  • By default, the results are sorted from newest to oldest
    • Each column is sortable
    • To change a column’s sort status, click on the column heading
    • Each click will cycle through the three sortable states: ascending order, descending order, and unsorted
  • Only 10 items will be shown at a time
    • Use the pagination links in the bottom right corner of the search results tables to see additional pages of results
  • Reports that have been published in the last 30 days will be indicated with a “New” tag beside their titles
  • To view the complete report, click the title of the report in the search results table

Report details

  • The complete details of an Investigation Finding Report are included on this page:
    • The title of the report
    • The line(s) of business and issue(s) that are applicable
    • The code(s) ) that may be applicable
    • An indication of whether the PSP met obligations
    • The date that the report was published
    • The language that the report was published in (English or French)
    • The report ID for referencing the report
    • An overview write-up
    • A summary of findings
    • An analysis of details
    • Some reports may also contain a compensation analysis write-up
  • Reports that have been published in the last 30 days will be indicated with a “New” tag beside their titles
  • Links to return to the last set of search results are included at both the top and bottom of the page
  • Note: Individual report details pages cannot be printed
